Monet Bride
I've been wanting to do a Monet-inspired shoot for a very long time, and with a little bit of luck I was able to find a partner who was just as inspired by some good old impressionism, as well as totally in love with the wedding world! Maghan Phelps of Emblem Weddings brought her planning, tablescaping, and design skills along to create something really sweet with very little effort. We got up at the crack of dawn (ahem, our Impression, Sunrise) to do this thing and I'm dying to do more of the things with this wedding inspiration guru. Brides, Maghan is the girl to run your day while you live in it.
What's the takeaway for this episode? Well, my engaged friends, are you overwhelmed with color schemes, design decisions, etc? Picking a classic painting as your wedding design inspiration sort of guarantees a beautiful color palette without starting a single pinterest board. Bonus: the stress of wedding planning is suddenly null when you're no longer a bride or groom, but an art historian picking out their favorite painting! What's that? Go home, nerd? I'll see myself out.

Bakery Bride
Nashville has been kind, friends. Setting up this styled shoot was a dream. I went straight to my favorite dress vendor for the perfect gown and my favorite local bakery for the location and both were more than willing to help and provide. The Dress Theory Nashville had the most delicate and unique dress by Rue De Seine on hand and Dozen Bakery Nashville was standing by at the pristine new storefront with fresh baguettes on tap. What is this life? Kaelin is basically who ya gonna call when you need someone to embody springtime bridal excellence/model carbs as if they were diamonds. Oh, enjoy the whimsy, friends. Brides, I am ready to go to more bakeries for your bridal shoots, just FYI.
Lauren // Bridal Portraits
So I'm in the middle of editing this wedding where I'm so anxious to get the photos done and shared because of how beautiful they are. But I also realized that I've had a little preview of all the goodness on my computer for months in the form of Miss Lauren's bridal portraits. Ah! What a practice in self control this wedding has been. But now Zach has seen the beauty which means you get to see it, too. Hopefully this will tide you over until the main course comes out.
